
The hearing man was last seen Sunday going door-to-door in University Park, distributing leaflets that also espoused racist views. Police chased him out of the town near University of Maryland, saying he needed a permit to distribute the flier.
It appears the same man has visited Gallaudet, the D.C. school for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing in Northeast D.C.
“Last week, a man carrying the same letter was seen on the Gallaudet University campus and was subsequently asked to leave and prohibited from returning,” said Theodore Baran, Director of Gallaudet University Department of Public Safety, in a released statement.
The man has no known connection to the university, he said.
The man, who is from Grand Rapids, Mich., has claimed to be Deaf and used index cards to communicate with town police and residents in University Park. One witness described him as “a gentlemen with a terrible message.” His identity has not been released because he has not been charged with a crime...
