'I can’t breathe!' Footage of fatal arrest shows Minneapolis officer kneeling on George Floyd’s neck for several minutes, the protesters demanding justice for George Floyd.


MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota -- Warning Footage Distressing: The protesters clashed with police after the death of George Floyd. George Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man from Minnesota, died on May 25. Footage showed a Minneapolis police officer kneeling on his neck for approximately 9 minutes while he was handcuffed on the ground. George Floyd died shortly thereafter in the hospital.

This surveillance camera captured additional footage of George Floyd’s fatal arrest in Minneapolis, a second camera angle shows George Floyd’s arrest, which eventually led to the 46-year-old Black man’s death and prompted protests calling for justice for George Floyd across the Nation and country of Minnesota.


Surveillance camera footage from a nearby restaurant shows what appears to be the first contact between George Floyd and Minneapolis police officers. George Floyd died shortly after his contact with the officers.

Woman Who Captured George Floyd Killing Returns To Scene:

George Floyd cried that he could not breathe and begged for his mother 'I can’t breathe. My neck hurts. Everything hurts. They are going to kill me. Say my name.'

The woman who recorded the now-viral footage of police killing George Floyd returned to the scene the next day to recount the traumatic experience.


Darnella Frazier, who filmed cops kneel on George Floyd’s neck, revisited the emotional scene the next day. Thousands of protesters gathered around the intersection where Floyd pleaded for his life as he was pinned to the ground, dying just hours later in the hospital. The police say they were responding to a report of forgery in progress and claim that Floyd physically resisted arrest. Four of the officers involved have been fired, but Floyd’s family is calling for their arrests.

Police Clash With Protesters Demanding Justice For George Floyd:

The Minneapolis Police fired tear gas, stun grenades, and rubber bullets at protesters demanding justice for George Floyd, a Black man who died this week after officers kneeled on his neck during an arrest.


The citywide protests demanding justice for George Floyd. They reportedly started peacefully. Some protesters allegedly began throwing rocks and breaking windows out of police cars. The Minneapolis Police responded forcefully by firing rubber bullets, tear gas, and stun grenades into the crowd.

Minneapolis Police Precinct Set on Fire During George Floyd Protests:

A Minneapolis police precinct was set on fire during the third day of protests demanding justice for George Floyd in Minneapolis.


Minneapolis' third precinct was reportedly set on fire at approx 10 pm local time on May 28. Mayor Jacob Frey evacuated the police station but said policing in the area would continue in Minneapolis and St.Paul.

Minnesota Gov. Vows 'Swift Action' and 'Justice' For George Floyd:


Minnesota Governor Tim Walz pledged "swift action" in the investigation into the Minneapolis police officers responsible for the death of George Floyd, saying “George Floyd didn’t deserve to die, but George Floyd does deserve justice.” He added, "“the lack of humanity in the video made me physically ill.”
