SALEM, Oregon -- Calvin Young, a Deaf traveler known as Seek the World on YouTube channel, exploring the world to discover and share amazing story about the Oregon School for the Deaf's Nightmare Factory.

Did you know Oregon School for the Deaf has the haunted house also known as the Nightmare Factory. It has been going for 31 years. 13,000 - 15,000 people coming through their haunted underground! It was featured and renovated by television show - Extreme Makeover! Check out some cool Deaf students' outfit and their thoughts on involving OSD's haunted house!

Deaf White House Receptionist Gives Tour

WATCH [CC] - The White House released video of first Deaf White House receptionist giving a tour of the residence.

WASHINGTON -- In celebration of the 26th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the White House released a video of the first Deaf White House receptionist giving a tour of the residence.

Leah Katz-Hernandez first interned at the White House in 2010 and President Obama talked about her at the 25th anniversary last year of the ADA, a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination in employment, housing, service, transportation and more against people who have disabilities.

“We call her ROTUS,” the president explained. “I’m POTUS, this is VPOTUS and that’s ROTUS. And ROTUS is the first Deaf American to hold that job. She is poised, she is talented -- and, as she puts it, a lot of her accomplishments may not have been possible without the ADA."

Nightmare Factory - Oregon School For The Deaf

SALEM, Oregon -- Episode 172 of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, a special Halloween episode, thank you and the gang help renovate the Oregon School for the Deaf's Nightmare Factory, which is a haunted house in which the proceeds are used to keep the school afloat from the communites in Salem.

Instead of Ty shouting with his bullhorn to surprise the school, he sends a small plane with a visual message while the staff and students are having their annual barbecue. While the students are in Minnesota getting new hearing aids, the team builds a new dormitory for the boys as their old dorms along with the Nightmare Factory was considered unsafe to live in.

Guest stars include actress Marlee Matlin and Rob Zombie. Since then, the new dormitory has been rarely utilized due to budget constrictions. The haunted house was founded in 1987.
