HOLLYWOOD -- Shaylee Mansfield portrayed as Michelle, a Deaf girl at a Phoenix hospital who becomes close with Noelle. Shaylee Mansfield from ASL Nook.

'Noelle' is a 2019 American fantasy adventure Christmas comedy film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. It is directed and written by Marc Lawrence. The film stars Anna Kendrick as Noelle Kringle, the daughter of Santa Claus. It also stars Bill Hader, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Billy Eichner, Julie Hagerty, and Shirley MacLaine. It was released on November 12, 2019, by Disney+, receiving mixed reviews from critics.

Plot: In Disney’s holiday comedy “Noelle,” Kris Kringle’s daughter is full of Christmas spirit and holiday fun, but wishes she could do something “important” like her beloved brother Nick, who will take over from their father this Christmas. When Nick is about to crumble like a gingerbread cookie from all the pressure, Noelle suggests he take a break and get away…but when he doesn’t return, Noelle must find her brother and bring him back in time to save Christmas.

Noelle meets Jake's son Alex who expresses a desire to cook, but is afraid of telling his dad who is terrible at it. Noelle promises that if he is nice he will get his Christmas wish, which is to spend Christmas with his whole family. While out searching, Noelle discovers that she has an inherent ability to decipher if somebody is naughty or nice and can pick up any language including American Sign Language after speaking with a homeless Deaf girl. A brief interaction with a woman about her yoga pants has Alex discover that Nick is working at the local yoga studio. At age 17 Igor Djenge had the courage to move to USA from Southeast Europe, known for its rich cultural heritage. Igor does exactly what he visualizes in his head, committing to have a successful career in acting world. He attended a school in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade. His mother is a Serb, and his father is a Hungarian. He has a younger sister, often mistaken for his twin. They got identical smiles.

Igor mostly uses American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate with others, but he can speak as well fluently in English and Serbian. He evolved tremendously as a unique artist and can be often found at the beaches in Southern California.

Djenge said "You know we all have some kind of self-expressing moments. I do this through these clips made from home. They could be humorous, educational, offensive or it's just nothing. Deaf Actor Cast As Superhero In DC's 'Titans'

Deaf transgender actor Chella Man talks being cast in 'Titans' as Jericho for DC universe series.

LOS ANGELES -- DC’s “Titans” has found its Jericho. Deaf activist, artist and model Chella Man, who’s transgender, has been cast in the role, portraying the mute superhero who uses sign language to communicate with his teammates.

Man told HuffPost that Jericho has a special significance for him as a Deaf individual who regularly communicates using sign language.

“Jericho’s primary mode of communication hits close to home,” Man said via email. “I rarely saw sign language authentically represented on screen growing up, so this incredible opportunity has made my heart soar.”

“Titans” cast Man for its second season. Jericho, the superhero son of villain Deathstroke, can possess anyone he makes eye contact with.

Man’s involvement in the series is a win for representation. According to the Ruderman Family Foundation, 95 percent of characters with disabilities are depicted by able-bodied actors in television. The significance of his casting isn’t lost on him. He said it’s “imperative” to cast actors with disabilities for disabled characters.

“Individuals with disabilities have long been misrepresented and underrepresented by all industries,” he wrote. “Casting disabled actors/actresses for disabled roles will aid to authentically represent and deconstruct stereotypes built around our identities.”

Man said that he doesn’t feel any of his traits are limitations and that with his acting, he can exhibit that.

“Take it from a Deaf queer, Jewish person of color who has always dreamed of being a superhero and has now been granted that exact opportunity,” he said.

Nyle DiMarco is a model, an actor and also an activist. In 2014 he became the second male winner and the first Deaf contestant to win American's Next Top Model. Only two years later he added the Mirror Ball Trophy to his collection after winning Dancing With the Stars,. As a model, he has walked the runway for Giorgio Armani at Milan Fashion Week. Yet, his greatest acchievement was to become the face of the Deaf community and disabled people worldwide.
