WASHINGTON -- The Deaf community gathers at the Ellipse Park a side of the White House in Washington DC on September 5-6 2015. The community has gathered to protest that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Laws are not enough for the Deaf community.
Many have not been able to obtain a job due to lack of accessiblity in communication. Fighting to get equality for the Deaf community's rights to have better access to jobs, education, and communication accessibility in the United States. The protest is all about unemployment, discrimination, civil rights and language barriers in the United States. Here's the information of the location, time, meet, trip, and employment statistics.

PRAGUE, Czech -- Natalia Belan is one special woman. It’s not just that the 18-year-old is a beauty, and the winner of a Miss World beauty contest held in Prague last month. It’s that she also happens to be Deaf.
The native of Melitopol in Zaporizhzhya Oblast won the Miss Deaf World competition in the Czech capital on July 19, fending off close competitors from Belarus and Vietnam. The competition this year was a special one as well – the jubilee 15th year of the event, which was first held in 2001.
“I had an excellent impression of the competition – everyone performed at the highest level,” Belan told the Kyiv Post.
This isn’t the first time the Ukrainian woman has been a winner: She studied at the Kamenka boarding school for Deaf children, which is famous at home and abroad for its dance group, which has won numerous competitions. Belan herself is a keen dancer, and is especially fond of oriental styles of dance.
On the way to her victory in Prague, Belan first won the Ukrainian Society of the Deaf UTOG’s regional beauty contest in Zaporizhzhya, and then went on to win the national competition Miss UTOG 2015. After that, she went on to represent Ukraine at the world and European finals of the competition, in which Ukraine has traditionally done well, Belan said.
In fact, Ukraine has pretty much dominated the event over the past 15 years, taking the top spot in the founding year 2001, then again in 2003, 2009, and now in 2015. Deaf community are left out by the government and Deaf unemployment is very high. The percent of unemployment (80%) seems closer to accurate for anyone who born Deaf but it should be lower as 70%.
Deaf unemployment is very complicated - they don't count anyone who born Deaf or HoH that goes through the Deaf Education, but late deafened with full oral language have better chance to getting hired, especially if they have very good benefit with cochlear implants or hearing aids and don't use VR service.

Violence erupts in Baltimore after Freddie Gray's funeral.
BALTIMORE, Maryland -- #BaltimoreRiots, April 27, 2015 - A state of emergency has been declared and the National Guard activated after the US city of Baltimore, Maryland erupted in violence on Monday.
Maryland Governor, Lawrence Hogan declares state of emergency in Baltimore as protests grow violent. Hundreds of rioters looted shops and burned buildings following the funeral of a 25-year-old black man called Freddie Gray who died after he was injured in police custody.
At least 15 police officers were injured in direct confrontations with the gangs of black youths. Maryland Governor Lawrence Hogan announced the emergency measures including the imposition of a curfew beginning Tuesday night.
“I’ve not made this decision lightly. The National Guard represents a last resort in order to restore order. Look, people have the right to protest and express their frustration, but Baltimore city families deserve peace and safety in their communities.”
Gray’s death latest at the hands of police.
Freddie Gray was arrested on April 12 when he fled from police in a high crime area. He was carrying a switchblade knife, and he was put inside a transport van to be taken to a police station.
At some point, Gray suffered a spinal injury that led to his death a week later. Two officers have been accused of failing to belt him into his seat securely and of not giving him timely medical attention.
Gray’s death has sparked days of street protests and raised tensions in Baltimore. His family however has condemned the violence.
The killing of several unarmed black men by white police officers in recent months and decisions by grand juries not to indict the officers have triggered large-scale protests across the United States. Watch on CNN - Captions.

In the upcoming XVIII Deaflympics Winter Games in Khanty-Mansiysk and Magnitogorsk will be attended by about 450 athletes from 27 countries, which may be a record result in the history of the Games. The program of the Games competitions in five sports will be played 31 sets of medals: ten of them - in alpine skiing, ten - in snowboarding, eight - in ski racing, two sets - curling and one set - in ice hockey.
Russian athletes for the first time in its history, will compete in all events of the Winter Games: Alpine skiing (men, women), curling (men, women), cross-country skiing (men, women), snowboarding (men, women), hockey (men).

We will start march down at noon toward to Lincoln Memorial Park and it will takes about 3.5 between 4 miles to march. Once we arrives at Lincoln Memorial Park and we would opening to celebrate ASL & Deaf Pride at 2:30pm. There will have variety presenters, skits, chants, spirits, and sharing our stories to inspire our ASL & Deaf Pride as Human and Linguistic rights.
On Saturday evening, April 11th, we hosts an event as candlelight vigil at 7pm. We cherish to honor all Deaf people and Deaf children who survive to face Audism which a group who would oppress our human and linguistic rights. We take a stand to resist an oppression and grow our roots all together to light our soul. We have a vision to believe for us to take a stand to change for future and children future.

ASL and Deaf Pride Parade starts at Gallaudet at 11 am On Friday April 10, 2015, we start marching at 12 noon, and can bring your cars/motorcycle. Wear black or blue shirts, comfortable shoes, bring water and food in backpack and bring (cardboard) signs too. Impact of last time - taking kids to see this was awesome Cj was there with Carol her mother - and it impacted her understanding of what Deaf is!
Cj was a young child at the last ASL Deaf Pride parade and she remembers seeing people in tall buisness buildings and people on the road watching with smiles and some signing ILY hand shape.. She was surprised to see that as she usually sees people being wrapped in their own world as she is in her Deaf world so that was really wonderful experience
APril is also the month that President Abraham Lincoln signed Gallaudet College into being in 1864. That weekend will have Gallaudet Charter celebration plus Early Childhood Education summit on bilingualism.

April 11, 2015 will have a VIGIL for all the Deaf and HOH children in the past and future.
